Lynn foreclosure rate is ‘startling’ (The Daily Item)
LYNN -mOver the past 12 months, the rate of foreclosure increased in 282 of the state’s 351 towns and cities. Seventy-four of those communities experienced an increase of at least 75 percent in filings, while the rate in Lynn soared even higher to 83.3 percent, according to Jeremy Shapiro, co-founder of ForeclosuresMass.com , a business that tracts foreclosure filings statewide.
