Nationally, 375,000 high-interest-rate loans were made to Hispanics in 2005, and nearly 73,000 of them are likely to go into foreclosure. Thats nearly 20%. A lot of these are illegal immigrants. Do you think we should bail out homeowners who took out loans they couldn't afford? If we do wouldn't our tax dollars be going to people breaking the law by being here illegally? http://michellemalkin.com/2008/05/12/open-borders-and-the-mortgage-mess/ Actually you guys are showing your ignorance. They had her sign on a home and state she was to occupy the home, when really she was to rent it out. After a bunch of missed payments the house went into foreclosure. The home had 2 mortgages on it. The 2nd mortgage company has now sent the balance of the 2nd mortgage to collections. Can they do that? I heard that if the house is sold after foreclosure, it wipes out both mortgages. Any Real Estate Professionals or Attorneys please help my friend!!! Thanks! more…

I've had my eye on a house for a while and noticed that now in the public records forum that there was a "judgement of foreclosure $120,000" then it read "case dismissed". Does this mean that the house HAS been foreclosed on? Very confused here more…
I know that it destroys your credit….But legally is there any action? There aren't any laws against it. A lot of people are doing it because they can't afford the house they have now and get a cheaper one. We live up North and with gas prices soaring…..My husband has to commute 1 1/2 hours each way and works 12 hour days 5-6 days a week. He makes really good money and our first mortgage is only 174,900 (which is nothing.) Obviously we would try and sell it first. more…
