Open Question: home buying process?
I'm a first time home buyer and I am trying to buy a home in NYC. I already got a preapproval and I have found the home that I wanted which is a foreclosure. I will be getting the inspection done in the next few days, but have a few questions about the rest of the process. My realtor said that the inspection needs to be done before the bank sends out the contract to the lawyer? Is this normal procedure? When do I call the mortgage people to move forward with the loan? Is it after I get the inspection done? Thanks for the help. more…
