Disability is the second leading cause of people falling behind on their mortgage. So why hasn't the President looked at this reason a little deeper? About 80% of people that file for Social Security Disability and are denied are later approved. Shouldn't they just fix that problem? Shouldn't it be looked at just like any other business? If I owned a business and more than half my customers were suing me wouldn't the Attorney General look into my business? I believe if they investigated Social Security a little deeper and fixed that problem there would be at 40% less foreclosures. I believe that most Social Security cases are denied because of the lack of knowledge and compassion of the caseworker. I worked at the welfare office for 10 years and have seen soooo much it will make your head spin! Any thoughts on this? Am I wrong? Are my calculations off? Any Social Security workers out there willing to blow the whistle? IS anyone willing to stand up for the disabled? So far the answers I have received show just as much compassion as Hilter. Yes, some people that are losing their homes got themselves into the problem and you don't don't to tell them, they already know. They are kicking themselves they don't need to be kicked by someone else. Do your research before giving answers that are incorrect. And yes, I would be willing to help someone save their home. I of course would add conditions like debt counseling, etc. But come on people! Are you ready that cold and calloused? People (all people) make mistakes. But again I am not speaking of these people anyway. People that become disabled don't make themselves disabled on purpose (most of the time) Again, yes, some people are out there to milk the system. But like at the welfare office the percentage is low. Those people make all who apply a suspect and shouldn't we be thinking good of people not bad? Aren't we ALL innocent until proven guilty or is it now an acceptable way of thinking in AMERICA-THE LAND OF THE FREE that we ALL be guilty until proven innocent? The President can help by bringing national attention to the problem and demanding congress get involved to solve the problem. The person who said the President can't do anything sounds like they take "No" as an answer all to easily. more…
