In 2006, I helped out a friend from foreclosure, medical bills, insurance bills, paid for her mortagages and lent her $ for personal expenses. Finally, I asked her to move in with me(don't have to pay a dime-since she was physically sick). So she agreed and attempted to sell the house and pay me all back.(she even offered me the house-but as a friend, I could not do that) While she was living with me, she did not work. I was paying for her bills and charges she made on my credit card(to help other people!). Total was $15,000(I have a few receipts-for minor amount). She moved out on a bad term. Have been saying a lot of negative things about me. I checked on her house and found out that it was sold before she move in with me. So sick to my stomach that a so called friend tricked me. How Do I get my money back? I live in Philadelphia and she is now living in Minneapolis. Note: I barrowed about $9,000 from the bank to bail her out from foreclosure. Please advise. more…
