Open Question: What should would counter on a foreclosure? (cash buyer is our competition)?
We REALLY want a foreclosed property. We offered $225K on a bank-owned home listed at $200K. We know there is a cash buyer with a similarly aggressive offer (but probably not as much). If the cash buyer offer is $220K and ours is $225K, the cash buyer will probably get it. The bank's "counter" was a request for our "highest and best offer." How high should we go? We REALLY want the house. What is a seemingly safe bet against a cash buyer?
